This Veteran’s Day we want to say “Thank you” to all the veterans, active duty military, and their families for the sacrifices they make for all of us.
David Lynch Foundation supports veterans by offering scholarships in New York City and Los Angeles (and hopefully soon, many other cities) to learn the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique. For example, TM courses are now available to veterans through our partnerships with three VA hospitals in the NYC area as well as at our DLF office in midtown. Thousands of veterans have experienced the benefits of TM through our veterans’ outreach and we continue to proudly serve them every day.
TM is a simple, easily learned technique that increases energy and focus, and reduces stress and anxiety. Peer-reviewed studies have found TM markedly reduces post traumatic stress (PTS) symptoms, including anxiety, depression, and sleep deprivation.
If you are a veteran or know one in NYC or LA who would like to learn TM, contact [email protected] or apply for a TM veteran scholarship today at the link in our Story.

The David Lynch Foundation announces our 14th Annual #ChangeBeginsWithin Benefit and Awards Dinner, Monday, December 10, at The Plaza New York. @jerryseinfeld and @johnmulaney headline a holiday evening of comedy & conversation, which will also feature @birbigs and @vanessabayer, and hosted by Steve Higgins.
During the benefit, #DLF will also honor the charitable work of our partners @chandrikatandon, Peter Dodge, and Dr. Hagelin.
In addition, the event will launch a new initiative to prevent and treat substance and alcohol use disorder—a national nightmare that afflicts over 20 million Americans. Funds raised on this night will help people overcoming substance use disorder learn to #meditate for free.
Our thanks to Presenting Sponsor @alexandani.
We hope you’ll join us. For more information, to purchase tickets, or to support this initiative, visit the link in our bio.

“It changes everything when you get happy on the inside, and stress goes away. Stress causes us to do many strange things. The secret has always been, throughout time, that the answer lies within. So get that technique that gets you there, and you’ve got a great chance at a good life.” - David Lynch
David answered audience questions and talked about #TranscendentalMeditation during his fourth @festivalofdisruption last week in Los Angeles. Thank you to all who attended the weekend. Proceeds help us provide #TM to underserved youth and adults.

“Turn on the light and the darkness goes. Turn up that light of pure consciousness: Negativity goes.” - David Lynch, “Catching The Big Fish”
@sleepyjones and the David Lynch Foundation have partnered on a charitable collection of loungewear and pajamas, for when you turn the lights off and get ready for sleep—and want to sink into the comfort of deep rest and pure rejuvenating consciousness. The items are inspired by quotes from David, Maharishi, DLF, and David’s hand-sketched lightbulb.
Our deepest thanks to #SleepyJones for their donation of 20% of the proceeds to help us provide #TM to underserved children, women, and veterans. The collection is available for purchase this weekend at @festivalofdisruption, and online at sleepyjones.com
