“Never underestimate the power of a woman”. Being a business owner is no walk in the park, but being a BLACK FEMALE business owner comes with a whole other set of challenges. It amazes me that I’m still able to smile like this with all that’s happened. I haven’t taken a day off in two years. I worked in the hospital while giving birth. No maternity leave, no sick leave, no one cares if you are going through something, you have to perform. If you’re too strong and business minded “you’re a bitch”, if you’re too lenient, you’re too soft, you’re emotional and no one takes you serious. I’ve lost friends, I’ve lost a love, I’ve lost precious time with my kids and family members and missed out on much needed me time. People see what the money brings, but the character traits I’ve acquired mean much more to me. It takes a certain type of woman to be able to handle the challenges and persevere through all the obstacles being a young black business owner can bring. I wouldn’t change a thing. My children proudly look at me and know anything’s possible. I’ve been able to help thousands of people all over the world and provide stability, work, and opportunities for people of color who needed a job. They say “too whom much is given, much is expected”, and I feel it everyday....but I keep going. I know my purpose is bigger than me, bigger than the money and when I die I will have left a legacy that will help people for hundreds of years to come. Give praise to the universe for steadying supplying me 🙏🏽 #Kaycola#organigrowhairco#organigrower#luciddreams#blackwomeninbusiness#blackownedbusiness#organiglowskinco#millionaire#multimillionaire#millionairemindset

This summer was tough...my girl @yebbasmith doesn’t know, but I played her version of this song, everyday sometimes 7 times. I can’t sing nearly as amazing as her, but sometimes it’s not about the voice it’s about the message. I hope this helps you, as much as it helped me. “When you’re weary.
And tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all.
I am by your side.
When times get tough.
And friends just can’t be found.
Like a bridge over troubled water,
I will lay me down...” #kaycola#luciddreams#luciddreamer#dreamer#believer#hopedealer#organigrowhairco

Kings... Some of us don’t need ur money. Some of us need ur protection, compassion, support, loyalty and honesty. Some of us need a partner not a sponsor. Someone who wants to read, learn, eat healthy, workout and travel with us. Some of us need someone who wants to continue to level up because we are ambitious in not only business but in the pursuit of knowledge self care and growth. Some of us are running and we need a running mate, running along side us in life, while others just watch us pass them by.

Happiness is a choice. If you allow circumstances and people to determine your happiness you may always be chasing happiness because both are ever-changing, you are the only constant. Only you can make the choice to actively work at being happy at choosing peace. Choose to forgive. Forgive yourself and forgive those who hurt you.
Forgiveness frees YOU not them. It doesn’t mean you accept what someone did, it means you let go and now focus on the lesson over the pain. Many of us allow our pain to become our identity. Choosing forgiveness frees us from the pain and allows us to vibrate into our higher selves. Choose freedom. Choose happiness. It looks better on you 😃🌞 #Kaycola#QueenKay#Theluciddreamqueen#indigochild#indigo#hopedealer#lucid#dreamer#dream#organigrowhairco#organigrowskinco#curlyhair#curls#curlynatural

“ Even though my dad had hella money/ Neva handed nothin to me/ so my mom had to work overtime./ Always tryna get my dad to show me that he love me but he had his own issues from when he was just a child./ Plus he had his own way of dealing with love./ Not knowin internally he was fuckin me up./ if he only had a clue/was clocking his every move/ made it hard for baby girl to accept real love./ i’m sorry I didn’t know how to love you I’m just learning to love myself/ i’m sorry I didn’t know how to trust you I’m just learning to trust myself./ And the truth is I be acting stupid, cuz I’m still trying to figure it out...” - KC
We put love and energy into people and things hoping it will reciprocate and make us feel loved and adored. When that love and effort isn’t matched we become disappointed, hurt, angry, depressed. We let that pain cause us to put walls up and sometimes even act out of character. What if we put the same effort we spent pouring into others into ourselves? What if we sought the love and adoration we spend so much time seeking from others and poured that into our own brokenness and practiced self healing self love and self care. Self care is important for everyone. Whether you’re married or single, a parent or have no kids, whether you’re successful or struggling. Self care is important for our mental emotional and physical well being and doesn’t require seeking outside gratification that can ultimately lead to a lonely circular road full of disappointment and regrets. The cool thing about self care is it’s never too late or early to start.
