FLORIDAAA!!! This is the last leg of my travels before heading back to LA. ... 🎉here for the weekend to celebrate my cousin’s wedding! #lovelove😭💜💙. . Tonight I just did a lil 10 min sprint sesh to get my wheels turning again after being on the road for so long.   • 👉CARDIO By @iqphysique96 ▪ Cardio can be useful during a cutting phase to increase energy expenditure. ▪ This helps you achieve a calorie deficit without cutting your calorie intake as much. But the scientific literature has clearly established an interference effect of cardio on strength training. ▪ If you do cardio too much, it can impact your recovery and performance. Also, if you do it at the wrong times, it can have an even greater negative effect. ▪ In order to prevent this, you should do cardio when it is least likely to impact strength training. Otherwise, it will result in less muscle building/more muscle loss and less fat loss. ▪ If your primary goals are fat loss/toning, don't do cardio immediately before lifting weights. Clearly, you will be fatigued for strength training. You also should not do high-intensity interval training (HIIT) the day before a leg day, but a low-intensity cardio would be fine. ▪ It is best to separate cardio and lifting weights as much as possible. Ideally, that would be doing cardio on a rest day or on the same day as lifting weights but separated by at least 6 hours along with some food in between. Realistically, most people will exercise 1 time in a day and can just do cardio immediately after lifting weights. ▪ Structure is your friend. Wir haben heute dieses traumhafte Wetter nochmals für eine längere Radtour draußen genutzt 🚴🏽‍♀️🍁🍂 der Herbst zeigt sich ja von seiner besten Seite, obwohl es schon sehr zapfig war die ersten 30km ❄️. Natürlich durfte der Kaffee und Kuchen Stopp nicht fehlen ☝🏼🍰. knapp über 100km hatten wir am Ende auf der Uhr. Damit ich das Wetter nochmal voll auskoste, gab es danach noch einen zügigen Koppellauf. 🏃🏽‍♀️ Ein Sonntag ganz nach meinem Geschmack🙃.   • Как выбрать очки 👓 для открытой воды? Начнём с того, что подбирать правильные очки нужно, если вы планируете в них проводить больше часа. За это время кто-то плывет больше 5 км, а кто-то идёт только на 3ий. Поэтому, говорить о дистанции не так корректно, как о времени. На мой взгляд, для заплывов меньше часа, можно использовать свои проверенные стартовые очки. Например, Босфор я плыла в «шведках» и чувствовала себя комфортно. Ну, а теперь о нюансах. Во-первых, на очках для открытой воды не стоит экономить. Если модель сядет некомфортно, запотеет или начнёт пропускать воду, то бортика или дна вы на дистанции не найдёте. Придётся очень туго, вплоть до DNF. По этой же причине очень важно найти модель, которая подойдёт именно под вашу анатомию. Например, у меня несколько моделей от @zoggsswim и мнения о линейке Predator делятся на «великолепно» и «отстой». Очки отличные, просто не на каждое лицо они одинаково хорошо садятся. Ещё для меня подошли модели от @head_swimming_russia Возможно, вам подойдут другие бренды. Главное: не покупайте очки без примерки и обязательно тестируйте их хорошо на тренировках. Второй важный фактор: мягкость обтюратора (резинки вокруг линзы). У хороших очков обтюратор будет мягким или средней жесткости. Но обязательно таким, чтобы не вызывать неприятных ощущений при длительных заплывах. Я люблю более мягкие вставки. Даже после двух суток плавания, у меня не было проблем или болевых ощущений. Теперь о важных деталях. Очки для открытой воды должны иметь хороший угол обзора. Чем меньше вы крутите головой, тем лучше. Шея на длинных дистанциях несет большую нагрузку. Сделайте ее жизнь немного проще. Цвет линз должен соответствовать условиям старта. В солнечную погоду лучше защитить глаза тёмными линзами, для плохой погоды и темной воды стоит подбирать более светлые (прозрачные) линзы. Помните, что комфорт и безопасность важнее стиля. Ещё одной важной деталью является защита линз от УФ- излучения. Лишняя нагрузка на глаза совсем не нужна. Особенно, если вы плывёте долго в солнечную погоду. И, конечно, очки должны быть поляризованные, то есть убирать все возможные блики. Таковы простые правила выбора и подбора очков для открытой воды.

  • And that’s a wrap on another huge week! 💀😫 Sunday afternoons are when it all sort of accumulates for me! 😱 I typically tap out the rest of the day.. 🤤🤕☠️😬🤣 • • I was reminded today watching a friend’s story @melissa.truitt (check it out, amazing message). ❤️ A lot of what you see on my insta, and around social media in general is all positive, curated versions of life and training. On mine especially. 🙋🏼‍♂️ I’m super guilty of this. 🙇🏼‍♂️😅😍😋 I think it’s one of the only places in life that CAN be perfect if you want it to be. 🤗😅😍. So that’s totally fine, as well as showing the ‘real’ stuff too. Either way! 💙😺 • • However, today was far from perfect. One of those days that started out bad, and only got worse, 😰...a death march from the first step! - but we got it done. 😃☺️ And it happens a lot! I think we are all used to rough days if you are training hard enough.. 🙀🤕. But little snapshots of our workouts don’t really begin to cover what really went on. 🤯 I think this is a good reminder from time to time. 😍😅 Something to keep in the back of your mind when scrolling through your time line for motivation. 💪🏼 #sundayfunday #runhappy 😀😫
