Told her look down for a head shot & this silly little had her face up in 99% of the 100 we took😆..anyways lol, these matching “Minnie ears” buns were done for our Disney trip! Done on a old wash & go, using just water & @alikaynaturals creme brûlée curling delight to slick up. First time trying this one from their line, & it’s a new staple! It has a nice hold, similar to a gel, yet leaves your hair still looking and feeling moisturized! And slicks edges like no one’s business🙅🏾♀️ #alikaygyal
The 3 keys to Length Retention!🔑
🔑Good moisturizing product(s):
I used @goodebuttershop Length Check 2-Step Kit to moisturize and seal my hair. Step 1: I applied the Goode Butter Pure Hair Juice to add moisture to my hair Step 2: I applied the Goode Butter Sealant Oil to help hold the moisture.
🔑Proper moisturizing methods:
This product combination and order of application (moisturizer then oil, aka lco method) leaves my hair moisturized for an extended period of time.
🔑Low Manipulation Styles:
With well-moisturized hair, you are able to wear styles for longer without needing to re-moisturize and restyle. Take advantage of this by wearing low manipulation styles that will keep your hands out of your hair. I chose a two strand twist style which can be worn for 2 weeks and then worn as a twistout for an additional week (totaling at least 3 weeks of little-no manipulation). Then on wash day, repeat! So with just the 2 products in the 2-step Length Check Kit, you can easily follow all of these and achieve your length check goals❤️ (Edit: brush is a @tangleteezer )
#TextureTuesday 👋🏾 I really don’t know why my hair literally looks gray 😩 So the right side of my hair is my problem side. Idk whyyy but the back is always super frizzy and shrinks up ALL THE TIME, no matter how much products or DC it’s just a frizzy mess 😢 it drives me crazy 😂😩
✨Look at this transformation and texture shot😱😱. Jaylah's hair was SUPER dry and started breaking off. We couldn't find the right remedy for her hair until we started doing our diy mask! Our first mask was in August.. it was trail and error until we found what works best for her hair, the pictures just speak for themselves! ➰
➰ Don't give up on your hair if it's damaged and or breaking off! Keep trying natural things until you find what works best for you!✨
The top pic was before we started doing hair mask once a week, the bottom left her hair was getting better but still not getting properly moisturized because the products would just sit on top of her hair for the most part until we found what works best for her hair! 🙌🏽🍯💕🥑 #texturetuesday#transformationtuesday#curlygirlmethod#naturalhairstyles#curlyhair#curlynaturalhair#curlyhairkillas
#texturetuesday it’s so crazy to think that this time 3 years ago, I was transitioning and only had about 2 inches of new growth 😩 Majority of my life consisted of slapping that creamy crack on my roots every 10-12 weeks to maintain straight hair. Now here I am, still in awe about having a head full of naturally curly hair. The journey to get here has been a struggle at times but very liberating. Tell me a little about your hair journey. Are you transitioning? Are you natural? If so, how long has it been?

I did a blowout perm rod set and i love it. It was definitely my first time doing this on stretched hair. I got this idea from one of my favorite YouTube influencers @ naturally_curla 🙌🏻 .
Step 1️⃣: wash hair as you would regularly, i put carrot oil and coconut oil in my hair ... it’s your choice though, then blow out hair on LOW HEAT ! .
Step 2️⃣: get your styling creams or hair wrap foams ready for your perm rods. I used @edenbodyworks natural defining curling cream i should of used a wrap foam but i wasn’t thinking 🤷🏽♀️ came out bomb anyways ... i used any size perm rod only because i felt that it wouldn’t make a difference because i was separating them. I WOULD RECOMMEND USING THE SAME SIZE BECAUSE SOME OF MY PARTS WERE TIGHTER THEN OTHERS 🤣 twist your roots, add the perm rod, secure the perm rod at the root and moisturize the tips .... .
Step 3️⃣: add oil to your hands, unravel the perm rod carefully, separate the curls in the direction that your twisted your hair .... .
Step 4️⃣: slay your edges ❤️
This past wash day I was able to use @natures_little_secret new product for a twist out. The Avocado Moisture Cream rehydrates, moisturizes, and strengthens your hair. Avocados 🥑 contain protein which help strengthen your hair and reduce frizz! It also contains oil and butter extracted from Avocados that are great for your scalp and overall health of your hair! ✨
