So when you're driving and this beauty walks up within an arms reach, you jump out to grap a photo. This is what I did. So close, I could have pet him ... a lovely day. Have you ever seen anything more beautiful? .
Hunting this area I had no idea what to expect or what the area would look like @onxhunt and @gohunt was a serious game changer for me on this trip being 1400km one way makes the usual scout not the easiest. #diverge7#sitkagear
This is my big “little” brother on our elk hunt this year. There are men who are strong because of what the world has done for them; and then there are men who are strong because they didn’t break after what people did to them and what the world didn’t do for them. The latter is this man here. We come from broken families and are considered “half” brothers by the world’s definition, but we are “full” brothers from our’s and Christ’s definition. We are determined to provide a family life for our wives and children that we never had growing up, and we are doing just that. He and I have our flaws and faults, we aren’t yet financially abundant, and we have a lot of scars from our childhood which try to shape our world; however we are made perfect through Christ’s love for us, in us, and through us, we are rich with family, love, and happiness, and our scars are proof we survive when put through the fire. He has been my best friend since the day he was born. I’ve been tough on him both righteously and unrighteously, and yet he continues to love me through my flaws and knows my intentions have always been for him and not against. I couldn’t ask for a better comrade, brother, or best friend. I look up to his courage, perseverance, strength, display of love and kindness, his fatherhood and love for his wife, and his ability to share his heart when many an attempt to destroy it has failed. He is a man of God, and I am forever grateful, blessed, and proud to call him my brother. To many more hunts and years of our lives shared together. We will finish this race stronger than we started! Just please remember to bring your gun to the creek next year when you shower in bear country...that was too close 🐻!
