Don’t underestimate coffee and a girl with a dream✨❄️
So I’m back to Canada, where I was greeted with lovely -10 deg weather and up to 20cm of SNOW. Definitely not the nice sandy beach from the last week. I know I’m not the only one who will agree when I say that cold weather not only lowers temperatures, but it also lowers mood and energy levels. Each year when winter rolls around I find it that much harder to motivate myself to get up and have a productive day. And even more so, trying to motivate myself to get to the gym and exercise. In my mind I picture the dreaded journey: dragging myself around the house preparing to leave, warming up my car, driving all the way to the gym on the icy roads, walking through the windy and snowy parking lot, and then forcing myself to get into shorts and a t-shirt. All to, what, muster the energy to exercise?? Even just writing that makes me want to go home and curl up in a blanket. It seems exhausting. It seems draining. It seems painfully cold and miserable. BUT it’s not impossible, and it’s certainly worth it.
It’s all in your mindset. Have a goal in mind, and think of the sense of accomplishment you will feel once you achieve it. Keep your goal simple: just get there and do the work. Don’t push yourself, do what you can, and that’s more than enough! You have to talk this through with yourself and find your own reasons for why it’s important. -
If you stay in bed, you will feel short-term comfort, but will you receive that same sense of ACCOMPLISHMENT and FULFILLMENT you will if you get the work done??💪🏼 You got this. I’ve got this. Do it for yourself. I promise you, comparatively, by the end of the day you will. feel. better.
